Artist Statement: “Mata Hari” means “eye of the day.” Mata Hari was one of the most controversial figures of the 20th century. An exotic dancer and a double agent of France and Germany during WWI, she was betrayed and executed by France on October 15, 1917. Artist Statement: My technique is fabrication; I used sheets of gold, sawing, forging and soldering. This bracelet is formed by around 50 different small pieces that were created individually and soldered together. My inspirations are the forms and color of nature.
