JIM DAILING

Jim Dailing specializes in creating one-of-a-kind bridal and engagement jewelry/rings for couples around the world, referencing various aspects of their shared lives through visual elements. After watching a friend skillfully cut an opal during college in 1977, Jim discovered an outlet for his own creative passion and energies. He spent the next 10 years furthering his education and honing his metalsmithing techniques. Jim received his MFA in Jewelry/Metalsmithing from Tyler School of Art, based at Temple University in Philadelpia, Pennsylvania in 1990. Over the past 30 years Jim has been making jewelry in his Portland and Bend, Oregon studios, as well as sharing his metalsmithing knowledge, skills and expertise in workshops, colleges and universities around the United States.
